POLE FITNESS

Pole dancing is a full-body workout. It is resistance training and cardio in one, and flexibility is improved as well. Pole fitness consists of various type of acrobatic moves like spins, climbs, twists and body inversions. Pole requires intense muscle engagement, focus, strength, and flexibility, all of which is gained throughout your pole journey.  The simple act of climbing a pole is an incredible display of strength. It is no surprise, then, that most pole dancers insist they have never looked or felt better.

What you should know before coming to class:

Wear comfortable, form-fitting shorts and a tank or bra top so the skin can GRIP to the pole. Wearing longer pants or tops is not recommended because fabric will slide on the pole. Do not wear excessively detailed clothing or accessories (no belts, tassels, zippers, jewels, etc.) and wear appropriate undergarments, as the pole tends to shift clothing. No shoes or socks, we train barefoot.

Do not use lotions or oils on the skin when participating in a Pole Fitness class. The lotions and oils often make the skin slick and slippery and hamper the participant’s ability to anchor onto the pole. Also please don't forget to remove all jewelry.
